Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed regret over her involvement in advocating for the exhumation of the late singer Mohbad. In an emotional interview with Biola Bayo on the ‘Talk to B’ podcast, Ojo revealed that she now wishes she had never pushed for the controversial decision, especially in light of the ongoing delays surrounding Mohbad’s burial and the continuing disputes within his family.

“I wouldn’t have requested that Mohbad be exhumed if I knew his case would turn out this way,” Iyabo Ojo admitted, reflecting on the difficult situation that has unfolded. Mohbad, who tragically passed away under mysterious circumstances, was initially buried amid public outcry. His death sparked widespread controversy and debates about potential foul play, which led to calls for further investigation.

However, Ojo’s support for the exhumation of Mohbad’s body was part of her attempt to seek justice for the late singer and address the suspicions surrounding his passing. Unfortunately, the situation has become increasingly complicated, with prolonged delays in his burial and ongoing legal battles.

One of the key issues that Ojo referred to was Mohbad’s father’s request for a DNA test to confirm the identity of his son’s remains. “His dad says he wants a DNA test done, and I heard the court has granted his request,” Ojo shared, emphasizing the legal and familial tensions surrounding the matter. However, she noted that the situation remains complicated as Mohbad’s father has reportedly set additional conditions for the test, adding further uncertainty and drama to an already volatile situation.

The actress’s regret underscores the emotional toll that Mohbad’s death and its aftermath have had on those involved. What began as a call for justice and closure has now become a complicated and painful public spectacle, with the late singer’s family caught in a web of legal challenges and personal disagreements.

Iyabo Ojo’s reflections on her involvement in the exhumation process offer insight into the complexities of public support for high-profile cases. The actor’s change of heart is an example of how situations can evolve unexpectedly, and how well-meaning actions can sometimes lead to unintended consequences. As the legal proceedings continue, many are left questioning the future of the case and whether true justice for Mohbad will ever be achieved.
